I’m not too familiar with WSX wrestling, but I’m more than looped into WWE and its divisions of brands. WSX seemed like it would’ve been a hit. I wonder why it didn’t take off.
It ran in direct competition with WWE's ECW reboot on Tuesday nights, so the ratings declined after the first week. There was also an incident with a fireball on Episode 4 that was rumored to freak MTV out so much that they cancelled the show. It could be a combination of both.
Oh, that definitely makes sense. They probably should've aimed for showtimes that didn't run into a strong competitor. Maybe then they would've had a better chance at growing. Thanks for the clarification.
